Job Overview
ASPIRE REBUILD TRANSFORM
is seeking an energetic and dependable Esports Coordinator to recruit, engage, and support school-age youth participating in our esports and STEM education program. The Esports Coordinator will conduct outreach within schools and communities to identify participants who are interested in competitive gaming, technology, teamwork, and STEM-related learning. This position will help create a positive and inclusive environment where participants can develop technical skills, improve communication, build confidence, and compete in organized gaming activities for fun. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young people, understands gaming culture, and can connect esports activities to educational topics such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer literacy, and career exploration. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct outreach to schools, youth organizations, community groups, families, and school-age participants to promote the esports program. Recruit and enroll eligible youth participants into the program. Develop and lead age-appropriate esports activities, practices, tournaments, and gaming competitions. Introduce participants to STEM topics connected to gaming, including computer technology, coding, game design, digital media, engineering, and cybersecurity. Teach participants about teamwork, communication, leadership, sportsmanship, problem-solving, and responsible gaming. Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for participants with different gaming experience levels. Supervise participants during program sessions, competitions, workshops, field trips, and special events. Explain and enforce program expectations, gaming rules, equipment procedures, online safety standards, and appropriate participant conduct. Assist participants with gaming equipment, computers, consoles, software, headsets, controllers, and other technology used during the program. Monitor participant attendance, engagement, progress, and behavior. Maintain accurate outreach, enrollment, attendance, participation, and program activity records. Communicate with parents, guardians, school personnel, and community partners regarding program activities, schedules, participant progress, and concerns. Coordinate friendly competitions, tournaments, team-building activities, STEM workshops, and esports-related career presentations. Collaborate with program staff, volunteers, instructors, and community partners to strengthen participant engagement. Promote healthy gaming habits, including appropriate screen time, physical activity, time management, conflict resolution, and online responsibility. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and security of all gaming and technology equipment. Report damaged equipment, technical issues, safety concerns, or participant incidents to program leadership. Support additional youth development activities and organizational events as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with school-age children, teenagers, or young adults in an educational, recreational, mentoring, coaching, or community-based setting. Knowledge of esports, competitive gaming, gaming platforms, consoles, computers, and online gaming environments. Ability to conduct youth outreach and build relationships with schools, families, community organizations, and participants. Strong communication, leadership, organization, and relationship-building skills. Ability to lead group activities and maintain participant engagement. Ability to explain gaming rules, technology concepts, and STEM topics in a clear and age-appropriate manner. Understanding of teamwork, sportsmanship, digital citizenship, and responsible gaming practices. Ability to supervise youth and respond appropriately to behavioral, safety, or technical concerns. Ability to maintain accurate attendance, enrollment, outreach, and program records. Must be dependable, professional, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting youth development. Must successfully complete all required background checks and youth safety requirements. Availability to work after-school hours, evenings, weekends, tournaments, and special events as needed. Pay:
$23.99 - $28.89 per hour
