Activity Assistant Good Shepherd Care Center Join a team that makes every day meaningful! Good Shepherd Care Center is looking for an energetic, compassionate, and outgoing Activity Assistant to help enrich the lives of our residents. If you enjoy building relationships, creating fun experiences, and bringing smiles to others, we would love to meet you! As an Activity Assistant, you will work closely with our Activities Director to plan and lead engaging programs that promote our residents' physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being. Responsibilities Assist with planning and conducting daily activities, games, crafts, exercise programs, and special events. Encourage resident participation while respecting each individual's abilities and interests. Provide one-on-one interaction with residents who are unable or choose not to attend group activities. Transport residents safely to and from activities as needed. Help decorate the facility for holidays and special events. Maintain activity supplies and assist with activity documentation. Foster a positive, welcoming, and engaging environment for residents and their families. Qualifications Outgoing, enthusiastic, and dependable personality. Genuine compassion and respect for the elderly. Experience interacting with individuals living with dementia is strongly preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well as part of a team. Ability to lift, push, or assist residents as needed during activities. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
