Job Description

Pay:

$18.02- $20.60 per hour! (depending on related experience)

Nature of Work:

The Activities Assistant is responsible for actively implementing assigned outcomes for each consumer as determined by his/her Service Planning Team, working cooperatively with Program Supervisor in assigned paperwork duties, assisting the development of skill building activities and implementing schedules; meets regularly with direct supervisor to ensure services are appropriate and meet the needs, likes, and interest of consumers and complete all necessary paperwork. Acts as mentor to all assigned new staff to teach, guide and support new staff, brings any supervisory concerns to the Program Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is required. Prefer at least one year of experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities or related field of experience. A valid driver's license passing insurability guidelines. Must meet the requirements related to Criminal History Record checks that became effective April 1, 2005, which requires prospective employees to be fingerprinted if they have regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with people receiving services in our programs regulated by OPWDD. Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm
