The City of Solon is accepting applications for a part-time Activity Assistant. This position is within the Senior Services Department located at the Solon Senior Center and reports to the Director of Senior Services. The Activities Assistant assists with the implementation of activities such as sports leagues, group fitness classes, socialization and life-long learning activities as well as encourages participant engagement in order to enrich the lives of older adults. Applicants must have a minimum of a high school degree or GED equivalence certificate. Previous experience working with older adults, human services or fitness organization, as well as registration software is desirable.

Additional requirements include:

the ability to work in a face paced team environment, possess strong communication, customer service and organizational skills and be able to work with volunteers. This position ranges between 25 -28 hours, part-time with the possibility of some evening and/or weekend work, and offers a starting rate of $18.7028/hour.
