We are looking for an energetic and experienced Food Manager / Kitchen Lead to oversee our culinary operations. In this role, you will lead the kitchen , ensure food quality and safety, and manage daily food production and service plans The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, skilled in team management, and has a strong background in dining, catering, or restaurant environments with a small amount of prep and lite baking. no fryer. no raw food items. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations, including shift management and team coordination. We have a small kitchen and very small menu that includes prep. lite baking, small plates charcuterie and breakfast items not a full menu. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and consistency. Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste through effective cost control measures. Ensure all food safety sanitizing procedures are followed diligently to maintain a safe working environment. Plan menus in collaboration with management staff, incorporating dietary restrictions and catering needs as required. Monitor food handling practices to uphold health regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas. Support small events by coordinating food production and ensuring timely service. Qualifications Proven experience in food service or food handling prep and management, restaurant management, or culinary leadership roles. Strong background in food production, catering, or fine dining environments with short order or prep experience. Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to manage teams effectively within a fast-paced setting. ( multi tasking is a must) Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and food safety procedures is essential. Hands-on experience with menu planning, food handling, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations. Excellent communication skills combined with leadership qualities that motivate team members.
