We are looking for someone who enjoys creating order and making a busy household run smoothly. The ideal person is efficient, detail-oriented, flexible and, most importantly, a self-starter who notices what needs to be done and takes care of it without needing a detailed task list every day.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing family laundry from start to finish, including folding and putting clothes away Keeping the house picked up, tidy and organized throughout the week Maintaining organization in closets, drawers, pantry and other household spaces Grocery shopping and basic meal preparation Walking and helping care for our dog Handling returns, packages, dry cleaning and other errands Meeting contractors, repair people and household vendors as needed Keeping household supplies stocked and noticing when things need to be reordered Handling routine household maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs and HVAC filters, changing batteries and taking care of other small items as they arise Helping coordinate household repairs and maintenance when outside vendors are needed Helping with miscellaneous household and family projects Generally staying ahead of the small things that otherwise pile up during a busy week This is not primarily a deep-cleaning position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day organization and functioning of the household and help keep our home calm, orderly and well maintained. We have flexibility regarding the specific days and hours and are happy to work with the right person to establish a consistent weekly schedule. The right candidate will be trustworthy, discreet, energetic, comfortable working independently and genuinely enjoy making a household more organized and less hectic.
