Job Description

Front of House Manager City Food Hall - 3.0 Doral, FL Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Operations management Cost control Hospitality Management Full Job Description City Food Hall Doral | Doral, FL Full-Time | Hospitality Management About City Food Hall Doral City Food Hall is a multi-concept hospitality destination bringing together locally owned food concepts, craft cocktails, events, entertainment, and community under one roof. We're looking for a hands-on Front of House Manager who understands that great hospitality doesn't happen from an office. This person will be visible on the floor, leading the team, supporting bar operations, maintaining standards, solving problems, and making sure every guest walks into an environment that feels clean, welcoming, organized, and ready. This role reports directly to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager and serves as a key shift-level leader for the operation.
What You'll Do:
Lead the Guest Experience Maintain a welcoming, hospitality-first environment throughout the Food Hall. Ensure service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and facility standards are consistently maintained. Proactively engage with guests and resolve concerns before they become larger issues. Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day operational and guest service issues. Maintain awareness of the entire hall—not just one station or department. Ensure opening, service, shift transitions, and closing are executed consistently. Lead From the Floor Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and real-time feedback to hourly team members. Set the pace and standard for professionalism, urgency, teamwork, and guest service. Assist with onboarding and training new employees. Reinforce new procedures and operational changes. Monitor staffing levels and adjust floor coverage based on business volume and events. Support the GM/AGM in maintaining accountability for attendance, performance, and operating standards. We aren't looking for someone who manages from the sidelines. If the team needs support, you're in it with them. Support Bar Operations Oversee daily execution of bar service standards. Conduct inventory counts and communicate ordering needs to management. Maintain secure storage and proper handling of liquor, beer, and wine. Ensure cash-handling and POS procedures are followed. Support cocktail promotions, happy hours, and other beverage activations. Identify waste, shortages, or opportunities for better cost control. Maintain Operational Standards Complete and verify opening and closing procedures. Continuously monitor cleanliness and overall facility presentation. Identify maintenance or equipment problems and resolve or escalate them appropriately. Ensure operational, service, safety, and food-handling procedures are followed during the shift. Maintain accurate shift communication and provide management with relevant operational updates. Support Events & Activations Events are an important part of our business. The FOH Manager works alongside our Events Coordinator and management team to support: Private events Corporate events Weddings and celebrations Community activations Movie nights Sports watch parties DJs and entertainment Food and beverage programming Responsibilities may include reviewing event requirements, coordinating beverage execution, adjusting staffing, supporting setup/breakdown, and serving as an operational point of contact during events. Work With Our Vendor Community Unlike a traditional restaurant, City Food Hall operates alongside multiple independent food concepts. The FOH Manager helps maintain communication between the hall and its vendors while ensuring the entire operation delivers a consistent guest experience. Our guests don't see separate businesses when something goes wrong—they see City Food Hall . We expect our management team to think the same way. Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Have 3+ years of restaurant, bar, hotel, food hall, or hospitality leadership experience . Have previously worked as a Supervisor, Shift Manager, FOH Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar hospitality leader. Are comfortable leading and coaching hourly employees. Have experience with opening and closing procedures. Understand basic inventory controls and scheduling. Are comfortable with POS and cloud-based restaurant management systems. Have strong organizational and communication skills. Can identify a problem and take action without waiting to be told. Stay composed when business gets busy or plans change. Understand the importance of labor, waste, inventory, and controllable expenses. Take pride in details other people might overlook. Have a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service. Experience with Toast, 7Shifts, bar operations, events, or multi-concept hospitality is a plus. The Kind of Leader We Want Our management philosophy is built around five core values: Say It Straight Communicate clearly, respectfully, and directly. Lead With Empathy Understand people while still maintaining standards. Performance Is Personal Take ownership. Follow through. Don't wait for someone else to fix it. Be a Multiplier Great leaders make the people around them better. Protect the Brand Every shift, interaction, and decision contributes to how guests perceive City Food Hall. What Success Looks Like At the end of your shift: The hall is clean and guest-ready. The bar is organized and accounted for. The team knows what is expected of them. Vendors and management are communicating. Problems have been addressed rather than passed along. Guests feel taken care of. The next manager knows exactly what happened and what needs attention. That's a successful shift. Schedule & Physical Requirements This is a full-time hospitality management position and requires night and weekend availability , along with flexibility for holidays, private events, and special programming. The position requires extended periods of standing and walking, frequently bending and reaching, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Why City Food Hall? We're continuing to build City Food Hall Orlando into more than somewhere to grab a meal. Between our local food concepts, bar program, private events, entertainment, and community programming, we're creating a destination people have a reason to return to. That requires managers who want ownership—not just a title. If you're energized by hospitality, enjoy developing people, notice the details, and would rather solve a problem than walk past it, we'd like to meet you. To apply, submit your resume today!
