We are a busy family seeking a reliable, detail-oriented House Manager to oversee household management, daily/weekly meal preparation, cleaning, organization, errands, and household projects. Our ideal candidate has experience preparing meals for a family and managing the day-to-day needs of a busy household. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is proactive, organized, self-sufficient, and kind, with a calm, thoughtful approach to keeping our home running smoothly. This position strongly emphasizes personality, trust, and the ability to take ownership of the household without constant direction.

Requirements:

Smoke-free environment, pass background check, and have a reliable vehicle to use during working hours. Positive, can-do attitude. Able to work independently and behind the scenes. Prior experience cooking and meal prepping for families is strongly preferred.

Additional Information:

Availability and hours are flexible and can be discussed during the interview process, though Fridays are particularly important for meal prep, grocery needs, cleaning, and making sure the household is prepared for the weekend. We also value someone who can handle ad-hoc tasks that arise in a busy household.

Key Responsibilities Household Management & Organization:

Some examples include: Daily household cleaning and upkeep. We have a deep clean weekly; this position is responsible for everyday cleaning, tidying, and additional projects throughout the week.

Meal planning and preparation:

Prepare meals for the family throughout the week, including weekly meal prep, grocery planning, cooking, food storage, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized.

Vendor relations:

Coordinate appointments, repairs, deliveries, etc. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the household, including closets, refrigerator/freezer, rooms, pantry, etc. Ensure the house is well maintained and restock/refill necessary supplies. Manage household items such as pantry staples, groceries, and supplies. Keep track of shopping needs and purchase items as needed.

Laundry and clothing care:

Washing, folding, putting away, and ironing/steaming as needed. Assist with household projects, errands, and other needs that arise. Key Personality Traits and Qualities Strong problem solver, organized, trustworthy, personable, and friendly.
