Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual for a new and exciting boba tea, bingsu, bakery and beer garden shop adjacent to The Crouching Lion in Kaaawa, HI, Oahu's beautiful North Shore. This role is essential in creating and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service establishment, focusing on high-quality customer service and efficient kitchen management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, restaurant management, and team leadership, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Experience working as a boba barista or in a bakery is preferred. Join us as we create a fun shop on the North Shore! Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Manage food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency. Utilize POS systems such as Toast for efficient cash handling and order processing. Conduct inventory control to ensure proper stock levels and minimize waste. Train, hire and develop staff in culinary skills, customer service, and operational procedures. Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate shift management to optimize workflow. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to enhance guest satisfaction. Assist in budgeting and financial management of the food service operations. Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience in food service management or a similar role within quick service, casual dining, or fine dining establishments. Strong culinary skills with experience in food production, catering, or banquet services. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS). Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff training. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating positive dining experiences. Background in hospitality management is preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
