Job Description

Overview The Live-In Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of the residence. This position is a live-in role and requires a dependable, trustworthy, and responsible individual who takes pride in keeping the home clean, comfortable, and organized. The Housekeeper will perform routine household cleaning and maintenance duties, assist with general household organization, and ensure that the residence is kept in a neat and presentable condition at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and maintain all areas of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and common spaces. Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize surfaces as needed. Change and launder bedding, towels, and other household linens. Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry. Maintain an appropriate inventory of household cleaning and basic supplies and notify the employer when supplies are needed. Assist with grocery shopping or household errands as requested. Keep the home free of clutter and maintain an orderly environment. Perform occasional deep-cleaning tasks such as cleaning appliances, windows, baseboards, and other areas as needed. Properly use and care for household cleaning equipment and products. Report maintenance issues, damage, or other concerns with the residence to the employer. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of the household and its occupants. Perform other reasonable household duties as assigned. Live-In Expectations Because this is a live-in position, the employee is expected to maintain a professional and respectful presence within the residence. The employee will have designated private living accommodations and is expected to keep those areas clean and orderly. All utilities and rent will be taken care of. The employee will be expected to follow established household rules regarding guests, use of common areas, security, privacy, noise, and personal use of household property. Qualifications Previous housekeeping or residential cleaning experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Dependable, trustworthy, and responsible. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks. Good communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect household privacy. Ability to safely handle common household cleaning products and equipment. Valid driver's license preferred if household errands or transportation are part of the position. Personal Qualities The ideal candidate will be: Reliable and punctual Honest and trustworthy Organized and detail-oriented Self-motivated Respectful and professional Flexible and willing to assist with reasonable household needs Comfortable working independently Work Schedule The work schedule will be established by the employer and may include regular housekeeping hours as well as occasional additional household duties. Being a live-in employee does not necessarily mean the employee is on duty or working at all times while residing in the home. Work hours, days off, and expectations should be clearly established between the employer and employee. Confidentiality The Housekeeper is expected to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the household, employer, family members, guests, schedules, personal information, and any other private matters observed or learned while working in the residence. Compensation and Living Arrangement Compensation, work hours, days off, and the terms of the live-in arrangement will be outlined in a separate employment agreement. The agreement should clearly identify the employee's wages and any separate terms regarding housing, meals, utilities, transportation, or other benefits. The employee will sign a one year contract with all of these details explained.

$25,000.00 per year
