They ensure employees have the resources they need to work efficiently, prepare high-quality food and maintain health and hygiene standards. The kitchen manager has management, administrative and compliance responsibilities.

Duties include:

Optimizing kitchen layout and workflow to improve efficiency Monitoring cleanliness, sanitation and food-handling practices Implementing strategies for inventory management, food storage and ordering Training and managing kitchen employees Developing the menu and weekly specials in collaboration with the head chef/owner and general manager Establishing standard operating procedures, such as opening and closing procedures for each staff member Managing the kitchen budget with the head chef/owner Communicating repairs and maintenance needed for kitchen equipment, including fryers, refrigerators and ovens with general manager

Pay:

$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
