Food and Beverage Manager

Job Description

As the Manager of Food and Beverage, you'll be a leader responsible for the comprehensive operations of your venue. You will manage everything from daily service execution to financial performance, including inventory, food and beverage costs, and labor budgets. This role requires a hands-on approach to leadership, as you will directly supervise and develop your team, ensuring that every guest receives an exceptional dining experience while upholding the highest standards of safety and sanitation. A bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field and 3-5 years of food and beverage management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven ability to supervise and manage a department, with authority over hiring, firing, and performance decisions. Ability to obtain SERV Safe certification. Ability to obtain a State-issued Alcoholic Beverage License. Requires lifting objects up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a setting that may include exposure to secondhand smoke and crowd noise. Oversee all daily venue operations, ensuring the quality of all food and beverage products served. Provide strong leadership to staff, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment. Interview, hire, train, and orient new team members. Evaluate and oversee job performance, assisting with goal setting and professional development plans. Manage inventory control, prepare documentation for monthly variance reports, and maintain control over food, beverage, and labor costs. Ensure full compliance with all applicable gaming laws, company internal controls, policies, procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations. Maintain safe and sanitary work environments for both employees and guests. Prepare and/or approve departmental schedules and complete all necessary administrative work. Conduct group and individual training on company policies, service standards, food and beverage offerings, and equipment. Promote a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment ("The Big Six").
