Job Summary:

Are you an experienced culinary professional who enjoys cooking just as much as leading a great kitchen team? We are looking for a Food Services Manager/Chef to guide our daily food service operations and ensure we deliver nutritious, culturally responsive meals. Reporting to the VP of Culinary Operations, you will balance your time between hands-on cooking and supervising our kitchen staff. While you will primarily be based in the kitchen, you will also help coordinate meals for four PACE-RI locations, home delivered meals including our Care Meals program, plus provide occasional support to our affiliated Canopy Care Solutions residential sites. This role is highly collaborative, allowing you to work alongside Registered Dietitians, Social Work, and clinical teams to develop menus and address specific dietary needs. As a leader, you will oversee and coordinate our kitchen staff, guiding their daily work, supporting their growth, and ensuring team compliance. On the administrative side, you will manage weekly Care Meals production, handle food purchasing, and keep track of kitchen budgets. A major part of your role will also focus on ensuring our operations meet CMS and Rhode Island Department of Health regulations. Whether you are enforcing strict cleaning and sanitation practices, coordinating temperature-controlled deliveries, or planning food for a special event, your focus will be on keeping our kitchens organized, safe, and welcoming. We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong staff management skills, proven menu development experience, and a valid Rhode Island Food Safety Manager License. You will work closely with the Lead Cook and other departments to solve daily operational challenges and ensure a great dining experience for our participants. $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
