Kitchen Manager at the Apple Valley Cafe | Townsend, TN Lead the Kitchen at One of Townsend's Favorite Restaurants! Apple Valley Cafe is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team. Located in the heart of Townsend, Tennessee, Apple Valley Cafe has been serving guests breakfast, lunch, and genuine Smoky Mountain hospitality for generations. We're looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, someone who enjoys developing great teams and leads by example. Compensation & Benefits Starting Salary:

$52,000 annually Full-Time Position Eligible for Oldham Hospitality Benefits Opportunities for Advancement within Oldham Hospitality What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop the kitchen team while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient, high-quality food production Schedule and supervise kitchen staff while maintaining appropriate labor costs Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback Ensure all recipes, portioning, food quality, and presentation standards are consistently followed Monitor food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and product rotation. Help control food costs, waste, and kitchen efficiencies Work closely with the Management Team to achieve operational goals and deliver an exceptional guest experience Lead by example during peak service periods and assist wherever needed Qualifications A Minimum of 5 years of kitchen experience is required At least 2 years of restaurant management or kitchen leadership experience Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards Weekend and evening availability is required Why Join Apple Valley Cafe?
