We are looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at Horizon Kitchen

+ Spirits . The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the restaurant's day-to-day operations. They ensure all employees meet the restaurant's quality standards by checking how the cooks prep food, ensuring all food is to temperature, scheduling employees for shifts, and ordering food and supplies as needed. The Assistant Restaurant Manager may also create menus and establish restaurant procedures for different positions.

Responsibilities:

Open and close the restaurant Efficiently schedule staff to ensure proper coverage at all times Assist in recruitment efforts by reviewing applications and interviewing candidates Assist in the onboarding process for new hires Mentor new and existing staff members Train team on proper methods and practices Resolve customers' questions and grievances in a professional manner Professional writing skills for emailing the team and our clients Supports marketing activities for increasing traffic and uplifting dining experiences Ensure that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations Cash handling skills, including being accountable for large cash transactions Drive guest satisfaction through quality control and efficiency Assist with operational tasks as assigned by the Restaurant Manager Assist in creating SOPs and setting standards for all staff to follow Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems; preferably Toast Strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills Professional written and verbal communication Familiarity with computers, Gmail, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Create staff and financial reporting Ability to dissolve conflict, take criticism, and solve problems Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to lift/push/pull 50lbs unassisted and stand for long periods of time
