About the Role We are a busy family seeking an exceptional full-time Household & Family Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day logistics and operation of our home. The purpose of this position is simple: we want our home to feel like a place where we can be present with one another rather than another source of work and an ever-growing to-do list. We are looking for someone highly organized, self-driven, proactive, trustworthy, and comfortable taking genuine ownership of a household. This is not primarily a nanny position or a housekeeping position. It is a hands-on household management role that combines family logistics, organization, errands, laundry, kitchen management, children's preparation, household administration, and occasional childcare. The ideal candidate does not wait to be handed a list of tasks. They notice what needs attention, anticipate upcoming needs, create systems, follow through, and continuously look for ways to make the household function better. Schedule This is a full-time position averaging approximately 35-40 hours per week. Occasional early mornings, later hours, or Saturday mornings may be needed based on family's needs. Primary Responsibilities Household Management
Maintain an organized, orderly, well-functioning home.
Complete daily household resets and proactively identify anything requiring attention.
Fully manage dishes and the kitchen reset.
Manage all family laundry from start to finish, including washing, drying, folding, putting away, and maintaining logical closet systems.
Manage beds, sheets, towels, and household linens.
Maintain and clean washer/dryer units according to their required maintenance schedules.
Help ensure children are fully prepared for school and activities.
Prepare breakfast and lunches.
Help children get dressed when needed.
Organize clothing for the following day.
Make sure backpacks, activity bags, water bottles, equipment, and other necessities are ready.
Keep children's rooms, closets, clothing, toys, and belongings organized.
Recognize when children need replacement clothing, shoes, supplies, or equipment and communicate those needs to the parents.
Maintain awareness of school and activity schedules and anticipate what the children will need. School & Family Logistics
Monitor school emails and calendars for important dates, deadlines, activities, and other logistical information.
Communicate relevant information to parents and help ensure the family is prepared.
Maintain and regularly review the family calendar.
Identify calendar conflicts or incorrect information and help resolve them.
Ensure camp, activity, school, and extracurricular registrations, forms, supplies, and preparations are completed.
Fully manage children's birthday-party invitations, including RSVPs, gifts, cards, wrapping, and preparation.
Help coordinate children's birthday celebrations and other family events. Transportation & Occasional Childcare Responsibilities may include:
Backup school drop-off and pickup.
Transportation to and from activities.
Occasional supervision or childcare.
Increased logistical and childcare support when a parent is traveling. The candidate will generally use their own reliable vehicle for transportation. Errands & Personal Assistance

Dry cleaning and alterations.
Prescription and personal-item pickup.

Follow up until household issues are actually resolved.
Maintain a simple system for recurring maintenance schedules. Travel Preparation
Fully packing for the children.
Ensuring children's travel necessities are stocked and organized.
Ensuring parents' needed clothing is clean, available, and organized for packing.
Preparing the home before departure.
Coordinating household needs while the family is away.
Caring for indoor plants according to established instructions while the family is traveling.
