This is a hands-on management position with a primary focus on leading and elevating the Club's bar and beverage program while also supporting the overall dining operation. The ideal candidate is an experienced bartender and hospitality leader who enjoys being part of the action. This position will work behind the bar approximately 2-3 shifts per week while also managing Front-of-House operations, developing staff, overseeing the beverage program, and serving as a Manager on Duty. If you enjoy leading from the front, building relationships with members, and having the opportunity to put your own stamp on a beverage program, this role offers a great balance of hands-on hospitality and management responsibility. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Member Service Lead bar and dining room operations to provide an exceptional member and guest experience. Work as a scheduled bartender approximately 2-3 shifts per week. Supervise, coach, train, and develop bartenders, servers, and Front-of-House staff. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management. Serve as Manager on Duty, including opening and closing responsibilities. Maintain a visible presence during service and respond to member feedback professionally. Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented workplace culture. Beverage Program Lead the Club's cocktail, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverage programs. Develop seasonal cocktail menus and maintain the Club's wine and by-the-glass offerings. Manage beverage ordering, receiving, inventory, storage, and cost controls. Monitor beverage sales, pricing, costs, and overall financial performance. Build vendor relationships and stay current on beverage trends and member preferences. Partner with culinary and events teams on Club events, tournaments, private functions, and specialty programming. Dining & Operations Support daily dining room operations, including staffing, service flow, and overall member experience. Maintain consistent service standards across bar and dining operations. Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and opening and closing procedures. Assist with staffing and scheduling for regular dining and Club events. Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, alcohol service, and Club policies. Collaborate closely with the Clubhouse Manager, culinary team, Events Manager, and other Club leadership. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of bartending experience, preferably in an upscale, high-volume, private club, restaurant, or hospitality environment. 2+ years of supervisory, lead, or management experience preferred. Previous serving and dining room experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage service. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop hospitality employees. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable balancing hands-on service with administrative and management responsibilities. High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail. Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other hours based on Club operations. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions.
