Host/Shift Leader Legends Grill & Bar Woodridge, IL Job Details Full-time $18 - $21 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Teamwork Team development Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Host/Shift Leader to support daily restaurant operations. This role combines hands-on guest service with staff oversight, accepting vendor deliveries, and general operational support. Regularly serve as the daytime Host, while remaining responsible for overseeing staff, maintaining restaurant standards, assisting guests, and ensuring smooth operations throughout the shift. Operational Management Complete walkthroughs of the entire restaurant, at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness. Oversee FOH operations, ensuring organization, sanitation, and adherence to high-quality standards. Verify staff completion of FOH Opening Checklist, and ensure these tasks are executed thoroughly. Technology & Communication Ensure music volume and lighting align with the restaurant's ambiance and verify that all TVs are on appropriate channels. Monitor and communicate out-of-stock items to management. Log comps and voids in POS when necessary. Team Leadership & Development Maintain a positive, team-focused environment that emphasizes collaboration and mutual support. Ensure all employees scheduled to work are in attendance and on time in order to meet business needs. Guest Experience & Atmosphere Personally welcome and engage with guests, develop relationships with them, and create an inviting environment that reflects the restaurant's core values. Conduct regular table visits to gather feedback and ensure every guest has an exceptional dining experience. Actively oversee the sanitation of the dining area, bar, and kitchen to ensure a welcoming and clean environment. Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu. Promptly and professionally resolve guest concerns or issues.
