Food Safety Team Leader Join a Team That Makes Food Safety a Priority! We are looking for an experienced and motivated Food Safety Team Leader to join our team and help ensure we consistently produce safe, high-quality products. Reporting to the Senior Quality Control Manager, this position plays an important role in maintaining our food safety programs, supporting employee training, coordinating audits, and ensuring the facility remains audit ready . What You'll Do Partner with the Senior QC Manager and plant leadership to implement, maintain, and continuously improve food safety programs. Help ensure the facility remains prepared and audit ready at all times. Stay current on food safety regulations and regulatory updates and help implement necessary changes. Coordinate and conduct food safety training for employees throughout the organization. Plan and execute the internal food safety audit schedule and weekly self-inspections. Document audit findings, communicate results, and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely completion. Organize and lead regular Food Safety Team meetings. Coordinate on-site audits, regulatory agency visits, and approved inspections. Maintain accurate food safety records and documentation to ensure they are complete, current, and audit ready. Review and update food safety procedures and communicate changes to plant personnel. Support internal audit initiatives by tracking, analyzing, and communicating audit results. Assist with microbiological testing, as needed. Partner with the Sanitation Team on weekly inspections and audits and provide feedback through the Master Sanitation Scorecard. Promote a strong food safety culture throughout the facility by providing guidance, training, and support to employees. Follow all company policies and procedures, including Quality and Food Safety Policies, GMPs, Safety Rules, and General Work Rules. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered. 5+ years of supervisory or management experience with a strong understanding of food safety requirements. Experience working with food safety audits, auditors, regulatory agencies, and corrective action processes. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, and related industry practices. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Comfortable presenting information and conducting training for both small and large groups. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Good computer skills and experience maintaining accurate documentation and records. Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification is a plus. Experience with sanitation programs is helpful but not required. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Why This Opportunity?
