Job Description The Food & Beverage Manager ensures a high standard of appearance, hospitality, service, and cleanliness throughout all dining areas. This position ensures timely and efficient food service while assisting with the overall supervision and operation of the Food & Beverage (F&B) Department. The Food & Beverage Manager directly supervises and trains F&B staff, ensures cleanliness, safety, and proper setup of F&B areas, enforces departmental policies and procedures, assists with budget management, and supports initiatives to increase revenue through repeat business and higher check averages. Provides and assists with the direct supervision of F&B service staff to ensure exceptional food and beverage service to Guests and Members.
Resolves Guest and Member concerns, coordinating resolution with Director of F&B, Executive Chef, or other members of the management team as appropriate.
Inspects F&B dining areas upon arrival, during work shift, and prior to end of work shift to ensure a clean and professional environment that meets Club standards.
Assists in hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, and evaluating all F&B staff.
Confirms time, attendance and hours worked and approves weekly departmental payroll prior to submitting it to the Accounting department.
Produces daily or meal-period revenue analyses and other reports from point of sale (POS) systems used in the dining room.
Performs daily POS closeout and tip distribution requirements.
Verifies proper distribution of tips and hours for employees and submits to the Accounting department.
Provides appropriate reports concerning employee hours, schedules, pay rates, job changes, tip pools, etc.
Assures that all side-work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.
Assists with training staff on all aspects of the POS system.
Helps monitor F&B labor and supplies budget; adjusts achieve financial goals.
Candidate Qualifications Minimum Education & Experience 3 years of food and beverage customer service experience.
Skill and proficiency in use of Club Essentials point-of-sale systems.
Knowledge of hospitality and private club environment, or similar hotel/lodging reservation activities.
Knowledge of bartending and/or mixology.
Must be able to pass employment background check and motor vehicle record checks.
Must possess valid driver's license in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana; must be insurable under the company's auto insurance policy.
Educational Requirements Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess Food Safety certification.
Must possess response alcohol sales and service (TIPS) certification.
