Job Description

Saker ShopRites, Inc. 10 Centerville Rd Holmdel, NJ 07733 We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Director of Merchandising - Meat . The Director of Merchandising is responsible for the overall profitability, performance, and strategic direction of the Meat Division. This position provides leadership for all Meat Department operations and is accountable for the development, implementation, and execution of company merchandising programs, initiatives, and operational standards. Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
  • Sales Growth and Market Share
  • Inventory Management and Control
  • Gross Profit Performance
  • Shrink Reduction
  • Payroll Management
  • Advertising and Promotional Execution
  • Operating Expense Control
  • Merchandising Standards and Execution
  • Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance The Director of Merchandising is also responsible for the training, development, and succession planning of Meat Department Managers and Associates throughout the organization.
This role works closely with Store Operations and senior leadership to drive consistent execution, improve productivity, enhance customer satisfaction, and support the achievement of company goals.
Qualified candidates will:
  • Possess extensive knowledge of Meat Department operations, merchandising, procurement, inventory control, production planning, and food safety standards.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering positive operational and financial results.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, coaching, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Have the ability to analyze business performance and implement effective action plans to improve results.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to associate development, customer service excellence, and operational execution.

$175,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
