Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented 3rd shift Quality Supervisor (~10:30p - 7:30a) to lead and oversee food safety and cleaning operations. Quality and Safety, Food Safety and Bio-Security procedures and ensure completion of essential job functions to maintain integrity of food safety program and product quality. This person will inspect, evaluate and train quality, operations and sanitation personnel to ensure cleaning standards are met and prevent product contamination. They will supervise the food safe programs and timely cleaning of the facility and equipment in accordance with the company, customer, certification and regulatory requirements and supports facility compliance with records verification. Our Quaility Supervisor partners with other areas of the operation and external vendors to coordinate and continuously improve the facility Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to the highest levels. Responsibilities Provide leadership to Quality Assurance team and foster positive employee relations throughout the organization. Develops, manages, and audits the quality, food safety, and sanitation policies and programs for manufacturing and packaging operations at the facility. Develop, train, and implement SOPs, work instructions and form documents pertinent to quality and food systems. Verifies proper implementation, execution, and accountability for all food safety, quality, and sanitation programs utilized at the facility. Leads, develops, advises on, and coordinates continuous improvement initiatives for quality, food safety, and food defense. Planning cleaning schedules and proper allocation of resources (labor, supplies, equipment and time) Conducting inspections (GMP, Safety, Food Safety,) and cleaning verifications Assuring Sanitation inventory levels are managed to meet targets without impeding plant objectives Works cross-functionally to ensure food safety, quality, and customer criteria and expectations are met. Leads the facility's HACCP and Food Defense teams. Develops, manages, and trends the facilities environmental monitoring program to ensure it is effective. Develops and manages the review and approval of policies and programs for all raw materials and finished products used or produced at the facility. Works cross-functionally to identify, communicate, and evaluate vendors and/or material issues identified at the facility. Plans, coordinates, and identifies corrective action follow-up for all food safety and quality audits. Establish and maintain a cheese grading and sensory program for the facility. The above list of responsibilities is not inclusive and can/ will be changed/ amended as needed to present our customers and consumers with the highest quality, safety, and secure products from Biery Cheese Requirements Knowledge of Food Quaility, HACCP, OSHA, Food Safety, and GMP requirements Three plus (3+) year in a quality leadership role in a food manufacturing environment preferred. Possess a demonstrated understanding of basic food manufacturing sanitation methods Two plus (2+) years of supervisory responsibility for sanitation processes and employees in a food manufacturing environment, a plus A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Possess a demonstrated proficiency in sanitation procedures required in various production plant areas or hospital sanitation protocols is highly desirable. Sanitation training/ certification, a plus Basic proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word Ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels and foster a positive work environment.
