DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE

Whispering Pines Golf Club - Trinity, Texas Position Overview The Director of Food and Beverage (DFB) provides strategic leadership and oversight for all dining, banquet, catering, beverage and member event operations at Whispering Pines Golf Club. Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Executive Chefs, the DFB is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences while maintaining operational excellence, financial accountability, and outstanding member satisfaction. The Director oversees all front-of-house service staff, catering operations, dining room management, beverage service, and member events. This individual serves as a visible leader throughout the Club, fostering a culture of hospitality, professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence. Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop all food and beverage service personnel.
• Create a culture of hospitality focused on member engagement, service excellence, and teamwork.
• Conduct regular training sessions.
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability standards.
• Maintain strong communication with Club leadership and culinary teams. Operations Responsibilities
• Direct all food and beverage operations throughout the Club including dining, tournaments, and special functions.
• Ensure exceptional service, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures. Financial Responsibilities
• Manage budgets and financial performance.
• Monitor beverage cost, labor expenses, and operating expenses.
• Partner with the Executive Chef on menu pricing, purchasing, and profitability. Member Experience
• Build strong relationships with members and guests.
• Ensure every dining and event experience reflects the traditions and standards of Whispering Pines Golf Club. Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of dining operations, catering, and service excellence.
• Proven experience managing beverage cost, labor budgets, inventory, and financial performance.
