The Division of Adult Institutions is currently recruiting to fill a Corrections Food Service Leader 2 - Limited Term Employment (LTE) position located at Waupun Correctional Institution in Waupun, WI.
Note:
Candidates must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin in order to be considered. LTE positions are limited to working a total of 1039 hours over a period of 12 months. Position Summary This position is responsible for the direction of facility workers in the Bakery, Kitchen, and Serving Areas of the Food Service Department. This position is also responsible for the direction of all food preparation and serving activities on an assigned shift in the absence of, or as an assistant to the CFSL3, along with maintaining sanitation, safety, security and training of facility workers. Salary Information The starting pay is $22.63 per hour. The pay schedule/range is 03-12. Job Details Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting. The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.
Qualifications Qualified applicants will have:
1. Knowledge of large-scale food preparation. 2. Knowledge of large-scale Institutional Food Service. 3. Knowledge of training techniques. 4. Knowledge of quantity and quality control of recipes. 5. Knowledge of sanitation standards. 6. Knowledge of basic food service bookkeeping procedures. 7. Ability to instruct facility workers in food production and serving techniques. 8.
