Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and managing tabs via OpenTable or other reservation systems. Upsell menu items like specialty cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met during food handling, serving, and cleanup. Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain smooth operations. Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions about menu items such as spirits or wine knowledge and accommodating special requests. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with sanitation regulations. Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy hours in a fast-paced environment. Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine selection, and drink presentation techniques. Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations. Ability to multitask effectively with excellent time management skills during peak hours. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions. Hospitality background with experience in serving or host/hostess roles is advantageous but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential.
