Duties Greet guests warmly and take beverage and food orders with enthusiasm, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to safety and quality standards. Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process sales transactions efficiently while upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, including food handling procedures and proper storage of ingredients. Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations. Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, handle inquiries professionally, and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in food service or beverage industry roles such as bartending, serving, or host/hostess positions. Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Demonstrated cocktail experience along with spirits knowledge; familiarity with wine service is highly desirable. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and orders efficiently during busy hours. Ability to perform basic math accurately for sales transactions and tips calculation. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
