Server 22221 North Pepper Road, Lake Barrington, IL 60010 $9 an hour - Part-time $9 an hour - Part-time Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Server, where your energy and hospitality skills will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. In this lively role, you will serve food and beverages with enthusiasm, ensure guest satisfaction, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Your ability to manage multiple tables efficiently while providing exceptional customer service will be key to your success. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment while contributing to a vibrant hospitality atmosphere. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments, while maintaining accuracy Upsell menu items, including wine and spirits, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktail service and beverage refills, maintaining presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or high-volume settings Strong knowledge of Toast is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and handle diverse needs professionally Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude Embark on a rewarding career where your passion for hospitality shines!
