Job Description - Server Position Reports to:

General Manager Subordinates Staff:

None A server is responsible for providing service to customers in the restaurant. Servers will seat tables, take orders, deliver food, and clean tables during their shift. Servers are also expected to be able to work events and other functions, many of which take place on the golf course or in the banquet room of the club house. Greets Guests and seats new tables in a timely manner. Understands the menu and is able to answer questions guests may have. Works at a fast pace attending to all tables in their section Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift. Cleans and maintains restaurant in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills Has understanding and knowledge to properly use the computer system in the restaurant. Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of bar and restaurant. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed. Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Clubhouse Manager or Events Coordinator at the time. Qualifications Knowledge Ability to handle money quickly and accurately (including checks and credit cards). Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling Previous retail or food service experience is not required but appreciated. Skills/Aptitudes English language and professional communication skills are required Ability to take direction Ability to work in a team environment Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Must Have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge Working Conditions This position will spend 100% of the time standing Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water The individual must be able to transport up to 35 pounds regularly This position will work events outside of restaurant hours and on the course.
