Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Assisted Living Server to join our team on a part-time basis, working from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm daily. This role involves delivering exceptional food service to our residents in a warm and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living or healthcare settings, possess strong customer service skills, and demonstrate a commitment to safety and sanitation standards. Duties Serve nutritious meals to residents in accordance with dietary requirements and safety protocols. Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations and JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following proper handling procedures. Support dietary staff with bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and ensuring the dining environment remains welcoming. Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including proper manual handling techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively with residents, addressing their needs promptly, and fostering a friendly atmosphere. Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or healthcare environments preferred. Food service experience within the food industry or culinary background is highly desirable. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safe lifting practices is essential. Ability to work efficiently with time management skills in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and basic math for portioning and meal counts. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on working with geriatric patients and providing compassionate service. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided.
