Job Overview Join Our Team at Bailey Island's Newest Restaurant! We're excited to announce that we're hiring Breakfast servers for our cozy Cafe. With a focus on local ingredients and fresh takes on New England classics, we're open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As a chef-owned and operated establishment, we pride ourselves on delivering an inclusive, welcoming, and uniquely crafted experience. We're looking for enthusiastic front-of-house staff who love to engage with guests. A passion for food and a friendly attitude is necessary. As a server, you'll get the chance to explore our menu with proveided meals hosted by Chef Ashley. We encourage our team to keep trying new dishes to ensure a fresh experience for our guests, and we provide a complimentary meal for every shift worked. We're offering $8 an hour plus tips, which will be cashed out at the end of each shift. For those with experience and a positive performance, we're happy to increase the hourly rate to $10 and evaluate raises routinely. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Serve food and drinks to guests, ensuring timely delivery. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and presentation. Handle cash register transactions, including processing payments and providing change. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations at all times. Provide recommendations on menu items based on guest preferences. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction. Skills Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and fine dining etiquette. Experience in culinary settings or kitchen operations is a plus. Ability to sanitize work areas effectively to maintain health standards. Excellent sales skills to promote menu items and enhance guest experiences. Proficient in basic math for handling cash register transactions accurately. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in bussing or serving roles is preferred but not required.
