Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and drink options to enhance their dining experience. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating cocktail experience and beverage service knowledge. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments, while maintaining accountability for cash register operations. Upsell menu items and drink options to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Assist with food preparation or food handling tasks as needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods. Foster guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Support team members with host/hostess duties or bussing responsibilities to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred, but not mandatory. Familiarity with POS systems Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and beverage pairings is desirable to elevate guest experiences. Strong time management skills are essential for multitasking during busy hours without compromising service quality. Excellent customer service skills with an energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty and positive interactions. Basic math skills are necessary for processing transactions accurately and managing tabs effectively. Experience in food safety practices, sanitation standards, and food handling procedures ensures compliance with health regulations.
