Server Responsibilities (subject but not limited to the following): Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies Help guests select food and beverages by presenting suggestions from the menu, offering cocktails, explaining the chef's specials, and answering food preparation questions Ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service Stay updated on current menu choices/specials and knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items Be alert by responding to additional guest needs and observing dining process Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed and refilling beverage glasses Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting guests to return Obtain cash or credit card payment by issuing the bill, accepting payment, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to guests Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Provide welcoming phone greetings Convey menu information over the phone to guests and give accurate estimation of meal time completion Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor Fill in for absent staff as needed Assist with special events as needed Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management
Skills and Requirements:
At least 6 months previous serving experience required, 1+ years preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic math skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time Ability to work as a team Ability to lift at least 25 pounds Knowledge on proper timing between course meals is a plus No education required Additional for Bartender (subject but not limited to the following):
Must be at least 21 years old
Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
Beer & Wine knowledge or willingness to learn
Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
Re-stock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Able to work in a high-stress and fast environment
Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company's guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
Must possess a positive, vibrant personality and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
