Busser The Busser at any Smith restaurant is responsible for providing a clean and pleasant dining experience by clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables. They ensure that the restaurant is well stocked with necessary items such as silverware, plates, napkins, and glasses. The Busser will work closely with other teammates in the front and back of house, by communicating powerfully to ensure a smooth operation and enjoyable experience for guests. The Busser must be highly organized, and detail-oriented. They will work with teammates to provide impeccable service to guests. Commitment, enthusiasm, integrity, humility, sense of team, and grace under pressure are required. Accountabilities include Preparing dining areas before guests are guests are seated Remove dirty utensils and replenish as needed Clean and reset tables after guests leave Assisting teammates with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, and napkins Informing teammates about guest feedback or requests Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas Clocking in and out for every shift at kiosk terminal Ideal skills and attributes Ability to multi-task and move with urgency and intention in a fast-paced environment Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours Excellent communication skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment Able to lift 20-40 pounds Able to stand, walk (up and down flights of stairs), reaching, for 100% of work time Food Runner A food runner at any Smith Restaurant ensures guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner. The food runner is accountable for serving food orders, removing used dishes and utensils and providing excellent customer service to guests in a fast-paced environment. The food runner will work closely with other teammates in both the front and back of house, by communicating powerfully to ensure a smooth operation and enjoyable experience for guests. Commitment, enthusiasm, integrity, humility, sense of team, and grace under pressure are required. Accountabilities include Delivering food orders from the kitchen to bar and tables rapidly and accurately.
