Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Provide expert recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, spirits, and cocktails to enhance guest satisfaction through upselling techniques like OpenTable reservations or drink specials. Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and managing tabs with POS systems. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines during service. Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly during peak hours, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure seamless service flow. Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address concerns promptly, and ensure an outstanding guest experience from start to finish. Qualifications Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management and organization skills. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards. Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire; understanding of sanitation practices is essential. Previous experience with food preparation, bussing, host/hostess duties or cashiering is preferred but not required.
