The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of teamwork, and a passion for customer service. Duties Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Assist servers by communicating guest needs and preferences effectively. Maintain knowledge of the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries. Ensure that all food handling and safety guidelines are followed to maintain a clean and safe environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods. Help with setting up and clearing tables as needed, contributing to overall guest satisfaction. Support the restaurant team by assisting in various tasks as directed by management. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety protocols is advantageous. Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. A background in kitchen operations or cooking is beneficial for understanding menu items and preparation.
