Other duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, filing insurance claims, preparing referrals and dispensing eyewear or other optical duties when an optician is not available. This is a Full Time Position requiring the applicant to work Monday to Thursday 8:30-5:00 and Fridays 8:30-5:00. Some Friday afternoons may be required in the future. Currently those hours are covered by current staff. Experience in the optometry field and some sign language skills are a plus as we see lots of Deaf patients. The Doctor is fluent in American Sign Language. CPO, CPOA or CPOT certifications and a minimum of one year experience is required. Pay will be reflective of experience and certification level.
