The Role:
The HR Business Partner is the senior HR leader on site, partnering with operations leadership to build and run the people systems a fast-scaling manufacturer needs — employee relations, recruiting, talent development, payroll and HRIS, policy, and compliance — across the Rockwall facility. Employee Relations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters at the facility; coach supervisors and managers through issues before they escalate.
  • Conduct workplace investigations, maintain accurate documentation, and represent the company at hearings or agency proceedings as needed.
  • Guide managers through performance management, corrective action, and difficult conversations with consistency Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Own the full recruiting cycle for hourly and salaried operations roles — intake, sourcing, interviewing, and offers — filling requisitions with both quality and speed.
  • Build and maintain a structured interview, testing, and selection process; counsel hiring managers on candidate assessment and selection.
  • Run a new hire onboarding program that gets employees safe, productive, and engaged quickly; track 30/60/90-day retention.
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews; translate turnover trends into targeted retention actions. Payroll & HRIS Optimization
  • Process full-cycle payroll for all US legal entities across hourly and salaried populations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Ceridian Dayforce; configure, test, and optimize the system to eliminate manual workarounds and spreadsheet-based calculations.
  • Review payroll outputs, reconciliations, tax filings, and year-end activities (W-2, W-3, ACA/1095-C).
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all federal, state and local.
  • Serve as primary liaison with third-party payroll, benefits, and HRIS vendors. Talent, Performance & Culture
  • Administer the annual performance review cycle; drive consistent use to build accountability and elevate talent and ensure individual pay actions reach payroll accurately and on time.
  • Lead people development, talent management, succession, and retention initiatives aligned to the operational strategy.
  • Advise leadership on organizational structure, spans of control, and workload balance to improve reliability of performance.
  • Lead change management — building understanding of proposed changes, securing leadership support, and seeing implementation through.
  • Champion culture initiatives that create a collaborative work environment consistent with ChocXO's values.
  • Coach and build the capability of department managers on HR processes and systems so the business owns its people decisions. Policy, Compensation & Compliance
  • Create and maintain HR forms, policies, procedures, and the employee handbook; ensure consistent interpretation across shifts and sites.
  • Create and maintain specific, measurable job descriptions for all positions, tied to the performance management program and compensation structure.
  • Partner on compensation and benefits program design and administration in alignment with operational budgets.
  • Maintain compliance with US federal, state, and local employment law — FLSA, IRS, ERISA, EEO, ADA, FMLA, and state wage and hour requirements.
  • Monitor legislative change and assess its impact on HR and payroll processes and systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment, including hands-on payroll ownership
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Active SHRM-CP or
SHRM-SCP
certification (PHR/SPHR also accepted); CPP a plus
  • Expert-level Ceridian Dayforce experience is mandatory
  • Demonstrated multi-state US payroll experience and working knowledge of FLSA, IRS, ERISA, EEO, ADA, and FMLA requirements
  • Broaden HR depth across compensation, performance management, leadership development, employee relations, change management, and organizational development
  • Experience examining and re-engineering HR processes — formulating policy and implementing new procedures that hold
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and written communication skills, with proven conflict resolution and mediation ability

  • Must wear protective clothing, such as coats, hair nets and safety shoes when on the production floor

Pay:
$80,000.00
  • $90,000.
