We are looking for someone who is intelligent, detail-oriented, able to think independently, and takes pride in getting the job done correctly and on time. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, communicates professionally, works well with others, and contributes to a respectful, team-focused, and drama-free workplace. This position is responsible for coordinating Workers' Compensation cases and communicating with patients, medical providers, adjusters, employers, and other parties to ensure documentation and authorization requests are handled accurately and promptly. Responsibilities Coordinate Workers' Compensation cases and related documentation. Communicate professionally with insurance adjusters, employers, patients, providers, and other parties. Review medical records and Workers' Compensation documentation for accuracy and completeness. Work with medical providers and patients regarding Requests for Authorization (RFAs). Submit RFAs and supporting medical documentation to adjusters in a timely manner. Follow up with adjusters regarding pending authorizations and requested documentation. Ensure required reports, records, and supporting documents are submitted promptly. Maintain accurate and organized Workers' Compensation files and records. Assist with insurance verification and Workers' Compensation claim information. Monitor outstanding items and follow through until they are completed. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements. Assist management and providers with Workers' Compensation-related administrative needs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous Workers' Compensation, occupational medicine, medical office, insurance, or claims experience is preferred. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to learn quickly and understand Workers' Compensation processes. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Must be dependable, punctual, and responsible. Must exercise good judgment and be able to work independently. Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Pay:
$22.00 - $23.00 per hour
