GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE
The Workers' Compensation and Leaves Administration Analyst is responsible for the administration of Loram's workers' compensation and leave of absence programs. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant handling of work‑related injury claims and employee leaves, coordinates return‑to‑work and employment impacts, and serves as a central point of coordination between employees, leaders, Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, and external vendors. The position operates within HR Operations and supports consistent, well‑documented processes that manage risk, support employees, and meet regulatory requirements. This position plays an integral role in maintaining the quality and consistency of HR services in alignment with Loram's ICARE values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Administer workers' compensation claims from initial report of injury through claim resolution, including coordination with carriers, third‑party administrators, medical providers, managers, and HR partners, and oversight of return‑to‑work activities and work restrictions.
Administer employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, medical, disability, and personal leaves, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies and coordinating with leave and disability vendors, Payroll, and Benefits.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation related to workers' compensation and leave cases, ensuring records, notices, and communications meet regulatory, audit, and internal standards.
Provide guidance and operational support to employees, leaders, and HR partners regarding workers' compensation and leave processes, expectations, and employment impacts.
Monitor, track, and report on workers' compensation and leave activity, including open cases, lost‑time claims, trends, aging, and related metrics.
Support HR Operations activities related to compliance, audits, process improvement, and cross‑functional coordination, while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
