Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Recruiter & HR Onboarding Coordinator, where your energy and expertise will drive talent acquisition and seamless onboarding processes. In this pivotal role, you will attract top talent, manage candidate sourcing, and coordinate onboarding activities to ensure new hires are welcomed and integrated effectively. This position plays a key role in attracting, selecting, and integrating new employees who align with the Company's mission to provide safe, reliable, and sustainable water and wastewater services. In addition to recruitment and onboarding, this role supports general HR functions related to employee engagement, compliance, and process improvement. Responsibilities Lead full cycle recruiting efforts across various departments, utilizing talent management software and applicant tracking systems (ATS) to identify, engage, and secure top candidates. Develop innovative sourcing strategies through social media marketing (recruitment), external recruiting channels, campus recruitment initiatives, and employee referrals to build a robust talent pipeline. Conduct interviews with candidates, assessing technical skills, cultural fit, and potential for growth while maintaining compliance with employment law in talent management. Negotiate offers with candidates, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and employment & labor law standards. Coordinate onboarding activities including employee orientation, training & development programs, and employee evaluation processes to facilitate smooth integration. Manage relationships with hiring managers and external partners to streamline recruitment workflows and improve candidate sourcing outcomes. Ensure HR legal compliance throughout the recruitment process, including documentation, background checks, and adherence to employment law in talent management practices. Support high volume recruitment efforts by managing multiple requisitions efficiently while maintaining a positive candidate experience. Utilize HR systems such as UKG Pro and HR talent management software to track applicant data, onboarding progress, and employee records. Experience Proven experience in recruiting or human resources roles with a focus on full cycle recruiting, technical recruiting, or executive recruiting. Strong negotiation skills paired with excellent communication skills to engage candidates effectively at all stages of the hiring process. Demonstrated ability in candidate sourcing through social media platforms, cold calling techniques (including cold calling), and other creative outreach methods. Familiarity with HR legal compliance related to employment law, employment & labor law, employee relations, and HR legal standards. Experience using ATS platforms such as Isolved formerly Applicant Pro is highly desirable. Ability to manage high-volume recruitment projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in candidate evaluation and employee onboarding procedures. Knowledge of training & development practices along with strategies that support long-term talent management goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 3+ years of recruiting and/or HR generalist experience, preferably in utilities, public works, or related industries. Knowledge of applicable labor laws and best practices in recruitment and onboarding. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels. Proficiency in HRIS and ATS platforms (UKG Pro experience preferred); Microsoft Office Suite required. PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus. Ability to speak, read, or write Spanish is preferred, but not required. Work Environment Office setting with occasional visits to field and plant sites. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
