This position will be located at 1000 E. 24th St, KCMO 64108. Responsibilities - What you'll do What you'll do: Enter new employees into the SAM II payroll system in a timely manner and process all other personnel actions including position updates, transfers, salary changes, etc. Maintain and update the Employee Information Center, and HR information boards throughout the facility with information related to employee benefits. Disseminate this same information to the Group Home Directors for posting at their facilities. Post this same information on CBM SharePoint. Ensure that the pre-employment screening and verification process has been completed for potential employees. Ensure employees are registered to enroll in their health benefits, if applicable. Process unemployment claims by responding to the claims before the due date, supply the information in a timely manner. Pick up mail from the mail room daily; open, sort, date stamp and distribute accordingly Post job vacancies on the Job Information Boards in a timely manner and removing postings when they expired. Serves as backup for processing applications/resumes received in response to advertisements and forwarding to the appropriate supervisor; and answering incoming calls on the main HR line. Performs other related work as assigned. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; arrive to work on time, returns from lunch on time and minimizes unscheduled absences. Qualifications - All you need for success Minimum Qualifications This is a position responsible for paraprofessional human resources related duties. An employee at this level may prepare and review documents, assist in the recruitment process, conduct employee onboarding, and provide advice on benefit matters. Duties may include recommending changes to and updating procedures, providing reports, and responding to information requests. Employees may input and review time entry, payroll actions, and related human resources information, and maintain accurate records compliant with relevant federal and state laws. Knowledge, skills & abilities Knowledge of federal and state laws, rules and regulations, and policies and procedures as applied to human resources areas and programs. Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality. Typical qualifications 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.) No d isciplinary action in the previous 12 months Employee must be current in mandatory training requirements and department job-specific competencies. Being current in policies will be a consideration in selecting the most qualified candidate for awarding positions. Have not received a successful bid for a posting within the last ninety (90) days. Lack of post‐secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
