Human Resources CoordinatorJob Description The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties. This role provides administrative support to the HR team across all locations and acts as a liaison between Senior Human Resources personnel and other employees. Responsibilities Perform customer service functions by addressing employee requests and questions related to benefits, time off, and policies/procedures. Execute general clerical duties, including correspondence, reports, employee paperwork, data entry, travel booking, front desk interactions, and filing. Assist with the recruitment and selection process by posting open positions, performing phone screens, creating interview schedules, issuing rejection notices or offer letters, and coordinating preemployment paperwork. Verify I-9 documentation using E-Verify and maintain I-9, EEO, and VETS books in compliance. Administer corporate health insurance and benefits programs. Update and maintain logs for applicants/new hires, terminations, workers' compensation, recruiting, and disciplinary actions. Maintain and order Labor Law Posters for all office locations. Assist in new hire onboarding by explaining paperwork, performing employee handbook overviews, and managing benefits enrollment. Assist with off-boarding procedures. Manage workers' compensation injury claims, file reports with insurance providers, and monitor progress. Respond to information requests from governmental agencies such as Unemployment Compensation. Coordinate employee meetings and events via Microsoft Outlook, HRIS communications, and bulletin board updates. Monitor and purchase inventory for job fairs, new hire, and service award items. Maintain regular, predictable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Human resources knowledge with at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Basic knowledge of HR practices, recruitment, benefits, and employee relations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using an HRIS is preferred. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Experience creating reports and providing data. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Detail-oriented and able to work with great accuracy. Ability to handle confidential information regularly. Skill in managing interpersonal relationships and sensitive HR issues. Work Environment The position is based in a clean, quiet, and comfortable manufacturing facility with an office/front desk located at the front area of the building. The work schedule is Monday through Friday during 1st shift hours. The dress code is business casual. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Akron, PA.
