Job Description

Overview Join our Human Resources team and be a part of our HR initiatives to foster a thriving, compliant, and engaged workforce. In this pivotal role, you will drive strategic HR planning, oversee talent acquisition and development, ensure regulatory compliance, and cultivate a positive employee experience. Your energetic leadership will empower teams, streamline HR processes, and shape the organizational culture to support our growth and success.
Duties Oversee full-cycle recruiting:
job postings, interviews, selection, and onboarding. Oversee payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Maintain employee personnel files, HR records, and complete driver qualification files (DQF's). Ensure regulatory compliance with employment & labor law, and HR legal requirements. Source CDL drivers, manage background checks, drug screening, and oversee driver (MVR) records. Ensure all drivers comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Administer compensation and benefit program enrollments: health, vision, and dental packages, including review cycles. Ensure company policies align with employment laws (FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, etc.) to minimize legal risks. Handle all workers compensation and unemployment claims. Manage employee relations, including investigations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation. Advise leadership on HR policies, workforce planning, and organizational development. Skills Proficiency in talent management strategies including recruiting, employee evaluation, training & development, and succession planning. Strong knowledge of benefits administration, payroll processing systems and HR systems. Deep understanding of employment & labor law compliance, workers' compensation procedures, and employment law in talent management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly; adept at conflict management and employee relations. Skilled in using Indeed for recruiting. Familiarity with administrative tasks including data entry, contracts management, personnel administration, and utilizing tools like TrackIt or Embark for workforce management. Bachelor Degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field preferred. Knowledge of multi-company management is a plus! 5+ years experience is a plus! Spanish a plus.
