Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to lead both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of HR operations in a South Carolina location. This role will work closely with senior leaders to strengthen workforce planning, employee engagement, leadership capability, and overall organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, and talent management within a complex operating environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct the overall HR function by setting priorities, establishing goals, and ensuring people strategies support broader business objectives.
  • Advise executive and departmental leadership on organizational design, staffing plans, performance matters, compensation decisions, and employment-related risk.
  • Lead and develop the HR team, creating clear expectations, coaching staff, and driving accountability for service quality and results.
  • Oversee recruiting and onboarding efforts across hourly, technical, specialized, management, and leadership positions to meet current and future staffing needs.
  • Partner with business leaders to analyze workforce trends, improve retention, and recommend actions based on turnover, attendance, staffing, and recruiting data.
  • Manage employee relations matters by providing guidance on conduct, attendance, corrective action, conflict resolution, and complex employment decisions.
  • Conduct and oversee workplace investigations involving complaints, policy concerns, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other sensitive issues with consistency and discretion.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, handbooks, job descriptions, and employment practices while promoting consistent application across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, workers' compensation requirements, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Guide compensation and benefits administration by partnering with leadership on pay structures, incentives, promotions, and related HR programs.
