ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Director, HR & Compliance serves as the enterprise-wide Human Resources and Compliance authority for Vantage Senior Care and all subsidiaries across all markets. This is a strategic leadership position that reports to the Principals/VP of Operations and assumes responsibility for all HR, compliance, labor relations, and regulatory matters across our multifacility organization. Role Scope Acts as the centralized HR and Compliance authority across all markets; all facility-level HR questions, policy drafting, interpretation, and rollout, and compliance inquiries are escalated to and resolved by this role to ensure consistency, legal compliance, and regulatory adherence. Serves as primary advisor to C-suite and operations leadership on labor law compliance, workplace investigations, ADA accommodations, leave administration, regulatory risk mitigation, and policy strategy. Oversees all HR and compliance functions including: Compliance & Regulatory Affairs (federal, state, and local labor law adherence) Workplace Investigations (discrimination complaints, grievances, safety incidents) Overtime Management & Wage/Hour Compliance Leave Administration (FMLA, ADA leave, state-specific leave laws) Labor Relations & Union Management Safety & Risk Management Policy Development & Enforcement
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, manage, and mentor HR and compliance staff across all facilities and markets; build capability, provide coaching, and develop team talent Develop and implement enterprise-wide HR and compliance policies, procedures, and best practices Ensure all facilities maintain compliance with federal (EEOC, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, wage/hour), state, and local employment laws Conduct workplace investigations into discrimination complaints, harassment allegations, and other sensitive personnel matters Advise leadership on labor law changes, regulatory risks, and mitigation strategies Manage union relationships, negotiate agreements, and handle labor relations matters Oversee leave administration, including
FMLA, ADA
accommodations, and state-specific requirements Maintain accurate documentation and records to support compliance audits and regulatory inspections Track, analyze, and report on HR and compliance metrics to executive leadership Partner with external legal counsel on employment law matters as needed
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of progressive HR and/or Compliance leadership experience in multifacility organizations Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (EEOC, ADA, FMLA, wage/hour, OSHA, Title VII) Proven experience conducting workplace investigations and managing sensitive employment matters Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in regulated industries Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage HR teams Experience managing multi-site or multi-entity HR operations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to balance compliance rigor with operational pragmatism Proficiency with HRIS/HR systems and data management Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in long-term care or regulated facility management Experience with labor union relations and collective bargaining HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent) Experience with multi-state compliance coordination
