Jobs › Shrewsbury, MA › Part-time HR Manager Robert Half Part-time HR Manager Shrewsbury, MA Apply Description We are looking for an experienced Part-time HR Manager to support and strengthen people operations for our organization. This role will guide core human resources programs across hiring, employee support, compensation, benefits, compliance, and career development while helping foster a positive and connected workplace. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, strong knowledge of employment practices, and the ability to partner effectively with leadership and staff at all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to cultivate an engaged workplace culture and support initiatives that strengthen employee connection, recognition, and overall morale.
- Advise managers on employee relations matters, including coaching conversations, conflict resolution, workplace concerns, and appropriate corrective action.
- Lead sensitive workplace reviews and investigations, document findings, and recommend practical next steps in alignment with policy and employment guidelines.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, interview coordination, onboarding, performance review support, training activities, and offboarding processes.
- Administer HRIS and payroll-related employee data updates, and work closely with finance to help ensure accurate pay practices, final payments, garnishments, and related records.
- Coordinate recruiting outreach efforts such as job advertising and participation in hiring events for both ongoing and seasonal staffing needs.
- Develop and improve orientation and onboarding practices across departments to create a smooth and consistent new employee experience.
- Support agency-wide training and compliance efforts, maintain current job descriptions, and manage personnel records in accordance with applicable retention requirements.
- Direct benefits administration activities, including annual open enrollment, vendor coordination, leave management, workers' compensation reporting, and return-to-work support.

- Minimum of 5 years of human resources experience, including broad responsibility across employee relations, compliance, benefits, and HR administration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of labor and employment laws, policy administration, workplace investigations, and leave management practices.
- Experience supporting managers with coaching, performance discussions, disciplinary processes, and employee relations issues.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms; hands-on experience with Paycom is strongly preferred.
- Background in onboarding, recruitment coordination, and maintaining accurate employee records throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Familiarity with benefits administration, leave of absence programs, Family and Medical Leave, and workers' compensation processes.
- Strong communication, organization, and judgment skills with the ability to handle confidential matters professionally.
