The Southland Companies are looking for a Human Resource Manager. As the HR Manager you will ensure policies, procedures, and programs comply with labor laws and are appropriate for our culture. You will periodically review and fine tune recruitment processes and onboarding programs to expedite best practices and ensure new hires are engaged quickly into our culture. You will also be tasked with updating job descriptions by working with hiring managers and update the performance review program (if needed) after consulting with managers and leadership, while being responsible for all benefits and insurance programs. As you ensure the above processes are in place, you will work with leadership to ensure the culture is characterized by high performance, learning and growth opportunities having worked with managers and leadership, as well as be tasked with ensuring appropriate employee relations efforts (and disciplinary actions) are implemented. This opportunity is unique for the right qualified HR professional who wants to grow and make a difference for the companies and its employees. Requires a Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration or related field and 4+ years HR experience at the administrative/management level. You must be an effective communicator, effective at building relationships with all levels of employees within the different companies and be able to multi-task and switch gears quickly.
