You'll partner directly with leadership, guide critical people decisions, and ensure operational excellence across a diverse workforce—all while serving as the sole HR expert supporting 100+ employees across 16 states What You'll Own & Drive Lead the HR Function End-to-End Act as the go-to HR leader , supporting employees and executives across multiple states Deliver consistent, strategic, and compliant HR guidance in a fast-paced environment Be a Trusted Advisor to Leadership Partner closely with leaders on employee relations, performance, and workforce strategy Navigate complex situations with confidence, including investigations, terminations, and risk mitigation Recruit & Build High-Performing Teams Own full-cycle recruiting across varied roles (sales, corporate, administrative, contractor) Collaborate with hiring managers to attract and secure top talent quickly and efficiently Drive Performance & Organizational Effectiveness Coach managers on performance management, employee development, and engagement strategies Support compensation changes, promotions, and organizational updates Ensure Compliance & Mitigate Risk Serve as the subject matter expert on multi-state employment law and worker classification Oversee wage/hour compliance, leave administration, and audits Partner with legal when needed to ensure best-in-class compliance practices Optimize HR Operations & Systems Manage HRIS platforms (ADP TotalSource & ADP RUN) and maintain clean, accurate data Streamline onboarding, training, and HR processes to improve efficiency Who Thrives in This Role This role is ideal for someone who: Enjoys operating as the sole HR leader with full ownership and autonomy Is confident making decisions and advising leadership without heavy oversight Brings a strong foundation in employee relations, compliance, and multi-state HR operations Can quickly ramp up and add value in a high-growth / fast-moving environment What You Bring 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a standalone or HRBP capacity Proven experience supporting multi-state workforces Strong background in employee relations, compliance, and workforce support Experience working with diverse employee populations (salaried, hourly, sales, contractors) Bachelor's degree preferred Additional Details This is a contract role covering a leave of absence , offering the opportunity to step into a fully autonomous HR leadership position and make an immediate impact with minimal ramp time. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Rochelle, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
