Full Job Description Summary:
The HRM will work with the CEO, the VP, the VP of Operations and other senior leadership to define and drive company morale and culture. The HRM will coach management team on HR procedures and effective management behavior, overseeing and supporting the cadence of the HR functions. They are responsible for compliant implementation of local (OH and other State policies where applicable) Human Resources policies and programs, if necessary or required by State Law or Federal law. They will set and lead the overall HR strategy for human resources, organizational development and employee growth in sync with the mission and values JuzoUSA. The HRM is responsible for supporting the company leadership team by assisting in workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee and labor relations, employee engagement and retention, development, succession planning, problem resolution and personnel issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Remains current on relevant laws, legal rulings, regulations and best practices.
  • Work with Management to develop policies and procedures consistent with organizational values and goals and assesses all relative compliance risk exposures and opportunities. Administer and communicate said policies to employees, addressing any employee failures to comply.
  • Administer Internal HR Investigations and provide Employee Conflict Resolution.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of general HR best practices, strategy, and technology.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of critical human resource functions including: o Workforce Planning and Employment; Human Resource Development; Compensation and Benefits; Risk Management (including safety, environmental health, quality, security, etc.) Employee and Labor Relations; HR Technology and ISO risk management requirements.
  • Utilizes core HR-specific technologies and resources to solve business challenges. Applies Business Acumen to Human Resource Expertise
  • Analyzes specific business challenges involving the workforce internal and external forces and offers solutions based upon best practice or research.
  • Assesses strategic organizational HR needs, designs proactive strategic initiatives.
  • Educates and advises executive team on strategic HR issues as a factor in decision-making.
  • Applies broad-based HR knowledge to business needs in a proactive manner.
  • Ensures alignment of HR policies and procedures with organizational values and goals.
  • Provides balanced long-term and short-term strategic vision for the HR function.
  • Reviews HR issues involving legal and financial risk to organization with management. Workforce Planning/Staffing and Compensation
  • Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's production work force/hourly wage program.
  • Consults with business leadership to gain knowledge of the composition and content of the workforce that will be required to strategically position the organization to deal with its possible futures and business objectives.
  • Work with leadership to create succession plan with appropriate training metrics that ensure business continuation and that supports employee development and internal growth.
  • Work with leadership to develop outcomes based performance management and appraisal system.
  • Update job descriptions for compliance and accuracy according to business needs, risk reduction and technology changes.
  • Evaluate and improve processes with regard to the employee life cycle in an effort to improve overall retention, engagement and performance. Payroll and Health, Welfare Benefits Administration and HRIS
  • Assist with and back up processing and administration of payroll for all production, hourly and temporary workers.
  • Administer employee time keeping system for hires and terminations according to company policy and regulations, Administer Hourly Points System and corresponding notices and warnings to employees per policy and coordinate and assist with time and attendance records maintenance.
  • Maintain compliance in administration of COBRA, FMLA, work accommodations for all employees, benefit eligibility and qualifying events, administering employee records and notices accordingly.
  • Maintain compliance in administration of STD for Hourly employees and assist with compliance for salaried employees.
Assist with
LTD & STD
Enrollments and Notifications.
  • Assist with 401(K) Plan Enrollment, Employee Notifications and record keeping.
  • Gain knowledge of utilization patterns in benefits and make recommendations to leadership on changes that are in alignment with organizational culture and directives.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with vendors and brokers.
  • Evaluate potential issues or service needs for HR relative software or systems and proactively develops a strategic response.
  • Recommends HR technology process improvements. Relationship Management/ Coaching/Development/Safety Training and
  • Coach and support Supervisors and Managers on: o FMLA, work accommodations. o Communications to employees both written and verbal regarding policy violations, progressive discipline, or performance improvement plans. o Critical thinking processes with regard to employee related problem resolution within the context of company policy and risk management.
  • Create, organize and or conduct Supervisor meetings on safety, correct application of companywide policy, harassment, ethics, teamwork, and other pertinent subject matters as they arise.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business or Human Resources from four-year College or university; and/or seven years of progressive related experience and/or training.
Travel:
Less than 10%
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Math and Computer Skills:
Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios to practical situations. Ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, internet research, Microsoft and IOS platform work suites.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit for extended periods of time; climb or balance; and occasional required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Normal office environment with moderate temperatures and office equipment noise (phones, fax etc.). The characteristics may vary due to travel modes and environments.
