Job Description

HR Business Partner II Position Overview Step into a high-impact role as an HR Business Partner II , serving as a strategic consultant to business leaders. In this position, you will bridge the gap between people strategy and bold business objectives. You will dive deep into operations, using strong business acumen, labor relations expertise, and analytical skills to influence decisions, resolve complex employee issues, and build an environment where talent thrives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Partnership:
Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute people strategies that directly align with and achieve business segment objectives.
Labor & Employee Relations:
Design and lead employee relations strategies to continuously improve engagement; manage complex issues, conduct formal investigations, and oversee strategies for both existing and newly acquired unionized workforces.
Leadership Coaching:
Provide expert guidance to senior management on performance management, organizational design, workforce planning, coaching, and career development.
COE Collaboration:
Work closely with HR Centers of Excellence (Benefits, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Compensation) to deliver creative solutions and competitive corporate policies.
Data & Analytics:
Track and analyze employment metrics, identify talent trends, and build financial and economic models to justify HR initiatives and maximize ROI.
Talent & Succession Planning:
Collaborate with business leaders to identify high-potential talent and build robust succession plans for critical roles.=
Tech Savviness:
High proficiency with Workday and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience & Education Requirements Experience:
5-7 years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience within a mid-sized to large organization.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
Analytical Skills:
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with a demonstrated ability to construct financial and data models.
Travel:
Ability to travel approximately 10% to various Essential Utilities work sites.
Certifications:
